Our Story
Our Location
Little Forest Gardens is nestled on the farming property "Little Forest" bordering the Lake River, 10km south of Cressy in the Northern Midlands, Tasmania - Australia. The 770 hectare property has been in the Bayles family for 100+ years where the main enterprises have been wool, fat lambs, Angus beef cattle and mixed cropping.

The cottage we live in was built by Lizzy's great grandparents in the early 1900's and we have completely rebuilt the flower garden, large orchard & vegetable garden since moving in back in 2007.
In recent years the next generation of "Little Forest" family members have introduced bee hives.
Who We Are
Our head flower grower, Lizzy has worked in the horticultural industry for 15+ years. Lizzy is a master of early morning rising & plant propagation. By day Lizzy works as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry.

Lizzy spends her "free" time with her two children Annie & Toby where together they enjoy baking and keeping fit.

Travis is our on farm apiarist and all round jack of all trades. By day Travis works in local government as a Fisheries Awareness Co-ordinator as well as working a day per week on farm.

On the weekend Trav can be found fishing on the East Coast of Tasmania with his son Toby in search of game fish!
